True North Mergers & Acquisitions Facilitates Chroma Energy Group Acquisition of Efficient Energy of Tennessee (EETN)

MINNEAPOLIS – DATE – True North Mergers & Acquisitions today announced that Chroma Energy
Group has purchased Efficient Energy of Tennessee (EETN). Both companies are based in Knoxville,
Tennessee. Minneapolis-based True North Mergers & Acquisitions facilitated the transaction, which
closed on April 12.

Founded in March 2023 by CEO Ed Rottmann, Chroma Energy Group (
focuses on solar installation with an eye toward future growth into other renewable energy sources and
products, such as storage and other clean technology initiatives, across the Southeast and Midwest.
EETN ( provides engineering, procurement, and construction services for
general and electrical contracting projects in the Southeast.

“We were pleased to be able to bring together these two companies to facilitate this transaction,” said
Erica Gilson, managing director of True North Mergers & Acquisitions. “The establishment of Chroma
Energy Group was actually precipitated by the acquisition of EETN, which is a well-respected, full-
service solar engineering, procurement, and construction contractor.”

“I have been very fortunate to have the opportunity to have Efficient Energy Group of Tennessee become
a launchpad for Chroma Energy Group,” said Rottmann. “I’m thrilled to welcome the 14 employees on
board at our new company and build on the legacy of the company.”

Chroma Group will complete EETN projects in process and honor upcoming commitments.
“I’m bringing a pragmatic approach to this venture,” said Rottmann. “I see the distinct need for both
renewables and fossil fuels to complement each other, rather than compete, and that puts the Chroma
Energy Group at an advantage.”
